Thank you very much for a wonderful blog. I am also parenting a transgender teen and it is reassuring to know that we are not alone. I cannot express in words how grateful I am every time I come across other parents and their stories. We are in Sydney, Australia, but through this medium have found much encouragement from around the globe. I wish you the best of luck.

I realized standing in Party City last night with my 9 years old son that we were really not there to get a Halloween costume but one of the many wigs that are on display at this time of the year. My son has been telling me he is a girl since he was 3. I would not buy the wig stating that we were there for a costume when he broke down. He simply says, “You do not understand me”. He hit me then what he has been telling me for years. I am lost, I have read this site and feel better but still don’t know where to go or how to help him. Please, all I can say is HELP, where do I start? I love him so much.
